Repeated calls from a fax number

Answered this call and there was a brief period of telephone ring sound then background noise like a telemarketing bull pen. When I said "hello", whoever was on the other end said "I don't speak Chinese" and then hung up. Weird.

I get four or five calls a day from this number. The first time I answered a heavily accented mans voice said he needed info so he could send my medical cards out. I haven't answered the calls since, but they are about every three hours.

Caller states there is a legal matter that a friend has got into. They state she has commited fraud and put me down as a cosigner. Also states they will be filing papers in court against both of us. He leaves a name which I deleted off my phone. This happens a few times a day. will be calling atty general on this. This started over a year ago.

Said they were Direct Connect. Wanted to recruit me to make money from home by helping obtain merchants to use their credit card machine. $500 for each merchant then a percentage of each sale.

I got a call over the weekend from the same number. The person I talked to said his name was Jay Sinclair. He said the company that he is litigating for is going to take my SS disability. According to this Sinclair person I owe this company $510.00. I have tried to contact this company several times in the past by phone and e-mail. The phone number they gave is a recording that runs you in circles and you never talk to a real person (at least I have not). The e-mail address they gave - if you send them an e-mail you get a error message and it will not go through. This Sinclair person said what I needed to do was get a prepaid Visa or Master Card and use that to pay the bill as the company did not want a paper trail. HELLO am I stupid? I do not think so. Is this company Kaufman Heinez (Heines?) and Associates for real or a scam?
